Who are we?
When Deepak Chopra asks interviewees this question at the end of his fascinating One World segments, it’s always met with a pause. It’s a loaded question, and one we are committed to pausing for and evaluating each year as we continue to grow and evolve. When asked today, we would say that B&N Industries is an innovative designer and manufacturer of products and services for the retail, architectural, and hospitality industries in both the domestic and international markets. At our core, we are design driven and we apply that creative thought process to both product development and internal operations.
Even though we have been in business for 30 years, we like to think of ourselves as a startup. The excitement, innovation, and passion from all of our team members allows us to stay current and relevant. We are never satisfied. We travel the world studying design, being inspired by cultures, our surroundings, and actively apply our experiences to the development of new ideas.
When it comes to retail and hospitality, our central motto is to treat every store like a flagship, and every hotel as if it were five star. That means, when a client comes to us they can expect to receive a level of service and attention to detail given to those standout properties of a brand.
Over the last five years, we have continued to expand the breadth of products and services that we offer. Our ultimate goal is to have enough proprietary products in our offerings to give clients an off the shelf solution. We currently have over 15 fully developed systems in our offerings. Within those systems there are plenty of built in options for customization to create a unique look for whatever brand is looking to utilize them. That said, we recognize that competitive pricing on both stock items and custom work drive business, and have made a conscious effort to reduce costs without diminishing quality.
We also realize that collaborations are vital to our continued growth. If you look at most of the successful retailers and brands, part of their success is via collaborations. We see this as a creative way to keep our brand fresh in the consumer’s mind, which is precisely why we teamed up with Rex Ray in 2013 to create a line of products and have partnered with the Japanese company Toppan in the third quarter of 2014 to bring our newest product line Fortina to our North American clients.
In our most recent pause, we noticed an area that needed our attention and felt the timing was right for us to fully enter the world of Social Media. It is incredible how the integration of these platforms has changed the way in which we communicate and interact in the personal, professional, and global spheres.
